ELEMENTARY | OUR BRAND STORY
Elementary Skin Care began many years ago as a beautiful hobby and rapidly evolved into an ethically minded, boutique business with the aim of sourcing locally produced, high quality ingredients and turning them into gorgeous smelling natural skin care products.
Our products are free of petrochemical based ingredients and we 'stubbornly' strive to keep our products simple, sourced from nature and as eco-friendly as possible.
All of our products are handcrafted by us, using a range of carefully designed botanical formulations in small batch apothecary tradition in Melbourne, Australia.
We only use fully recyclable packaging, including recycled PET plastics, glass & aluminium and we're continually working to reduce our eco-footprint.
We believe strongly that good skin care can be achieved simply by using natural, uncomplicated products with real results.
MEET THE ELEMENTARY TEAM
JENNIFER BACHE | Elementary founder
'My journey into natural skin care started many years ago, after a discussion with a paediatrician. From birth we battled my young son's chronic eczema and after many years of complicated prescriptive medicines, I discovered that a simple blend of natural ingredients was by far the best remedy...and Charlie's Manuka Honey Balm was born.
My passion for learning about the simplicity of natural skin care soon had me creating a range of cleansers, scrubs, soaps and moisturisers.
I have spent the past 20 years of my working life in the construction industry, running a fire protection company and returned to university in 2013 to complete an engineering degree.
I never in my wildest dreams thought that only a few years later I would be completing Cosmetic Chemistry courses and running my very own skin care business...but I guess when you are passionate about something, truly amazing things can happen!'
Over the past few years I've completed many natural skin care workshops, online courses and am currently in the thick of a Diploma in Organic Skin Care Formulation. My happy place is in the lab making, experimenting and sharing the knowledge I've accumulated with others.
