Made from the root of the Konjac Plant, Konjac Sponges can be used to remove dirt, oil build-up and blackheads to deeply cleanse pores and refresh tired, dull or dry complexions.
Konjac Sponges are made from the powdered root of the Konjac Plant or Elephant Yam, a fibrous vegetable which is native to East Asia and has a variety of other uses, including cooking.
Konjac is rich in vitamins (A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, D, & E), proteins, lipids, fatty acids and natural minerals such as copper, zinc, iron and magnesium. These ingredients help nourish and smooth skin naturally. It contains no harmful chemical, so irritation is very rare even for those with sensitive and dry skin.
Konjac sponges feel finer than a wash cloth and many other face exfoliators. Due to the nature of the fibres, a water barrier forms over the surface of the sponge which makes it feel very slick and smooth.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
The Konjac Sponge can be used with or without your favourite cleanser and is gentle enough for daily use.
Rub the konjac sponge on the face in upward, circular motions. Concentrate on T-zone area, dry or blackhead-prone areas.
Only use when wet, as dry Konjacs are too harsh and can damage the skin.
FIRST USE: Soak the sponge in warm water for 15 mins to expand the fibres, squeezing gently until it has softened and absorbed water. Press between the palms to remove excess moisture, don’t twist, wring or pull the sponge as this can prematurely damage the fibres. During general use, it will only need soaking for a minute or two before it softens.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Hang sponge by the attached string to dry, or put it on a rack so there’s airflow. Best stored away from light and humidity.
On a fortnightly basis, we recommend placing the sponge in very hot (but not boiling) water for about 5 minutes to disinfect it.
LIFE SPAN: The sponge should last between 4 and 6 weeks before beginning to naturally disintegrate. Dispose of your Konjac in the compost and replace with a fresh new one.
